About Me

Our team

 

I am a Teacher Educator with a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction and a career dedicated to preparing and supporting educators across EC–12 and higher education settings.


Our history

 

I began my career as a classroom teacher in Texas public schools before transitioning into instructional leadership, professional development, and instructional technology roles. Over time, my work evolved into educator coaching and curriculum development, supporting teachers and administrators through evidence-based instructional practices.

With a long-term goal of working in teacher preparation, I earned a master’s degree in Educational Technology Leadership and later completed a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction. During my doctoral journey, I entered higher education as an instructional designer, where my role evolved into faculty development and instructional coaching focused on Universal Design for Learning, accessibility, artificial intelligence in education, and adult learning theory.

Our mission

 

Currently, I serve as a Field Service Supervisor with Region 10 Education Service Center’s alternative certification program, where I coach EC–12 teacher candidates in the Science of Teaching and Learning and support their development toward competency-based evaluation standards. I also teach first-year university students and facilitate a fully online, 8-month faculty development cohort that combines synchronous instruction, asynchronous learning, and one-to-one coaching.


My professional focus is teacher preparation—supporting future and current educators in developing the knowledge, skills, and reflective practices needed to foster meaningful learning in diverse educational environments.
